Discovery, Design, Documenation
|
Working with the architect or directly with the owner, Gracenote Consulting provides multiple levels of coordination to ensure an efficient design process. Among the most important components of discovery is the definition of use, application and direction. We work diligently to define, document and refine client usability requirements, performance requirements and long-term direction. Our process is designed with enough flexibility to encourage creativity, but rigid enough to ensure that the design team stays focused, with a common goal of achieving a solid scope of work. Our discovery process is informal but specific, as we strive to operate as a client advocate, balancing the desires of the client with the realities of technological trends, budget considerations and built-in obsolescence. |
Efficiency, Perspective
| At Gracenote, we prefer to work directly with the architect to ensure that the design process is efficient from the very beginning. The insight and perspective of our 25 years of experience is invaluable to the architect, who may be unaware of the latest technology trends. From sight lines to infrastructure requirements, we have the experience to ensure that any impact on the architectural design is integrated at the schematic level, ensuring maximum design efficiency for the entire team. |

Infrastructure, Architecture
|
Foremost in the design process is the consideration
of facility infrastructure. It is vital for resource efficiency to
maximize infrastructure design to ensure compatible systems and
long term flexibility. Gracenote systems include robust cable and
raceway designs, generous power distribution plans and versatile
connectivity interface. Among the components considered during
infrastructure design are:
• Raceway Systems
From acoustics to sight lines, raceways to power distribution, our designs include detailed layout and coordination with supporting engineering disciplines. Efficient, cost effective implementations depend on solid infrastructure planning. |
Budgeting
| Finally, we understand budgets. We know that there are limits and that systems must be implemented within the confines of resource limitations. A hallmark of our services is the ability to provide resource requirement estimates at multiple levels during the design process. At the planning stage, we work hard to provide the owner with resource requirements as early as possible. The integration of early budgeting for audio visual systems is critical to the efficiency of the design process. |
